Julia’s House supports Dorset and Wiltshire families with life-limited children, providing frequent respite care in our hospice in Corfe Mullen and in families’ own homes. We are there year-round and in a crisis, offering emotional and practical support, emergency respite and end-of-life care. We support the whole family, not just the sick child, organising social activities for parents and siblings.
We’re the only ones fighting over 200 cancers – including the 1 that matters most to you. Every step we make towards beating cancer relies on every pound, and every runner. As a collective force we’ve helped double survival rates in the last forty years. But we can’t stop there.
Sooner or later we will find cures for all cancers. Let’s make it sooner.Run for Cancer Research UK
Great family friendly event, well marked course, perfect for both the first timer and seasoned pro
@RunBournemouth you did a great job. Fab organisation. Stunning scenery. Inspiring to see so many different people loving their running!
@RunBournemouth fantastic event, many good causes, well done all runners. Superb marshalling and warm encouraging supporters.
What a day! Great atmosphere and I'm over the moon with finishing my first every marathon and raised £1000 for Breast Cancer Now.
Crowds and marshals were the best I've ever seen today, well done to everyone involved, fantastic!
The first two are types of Charity Entry where your chosen charity will cover up to the full cost of your entry and expect you to raise a minimum amount of sponsorship money in return. The third is where you purchase your Own Entry and fundraise for a charity of your choice, with no minimum sponsorship commitment:
ICE means that your entry in the event is ’approved’ as soon as you submit your details – no turning back! Your chosen charity may require that you pay a regisration fee towards the cost of your entry, which you can find out more about by visiting their page on this website.
How to complete an ICE:
Your chosen Affiliate Charity will have 21 days (or until entries close, whichever comes first) to decide whether to approve or decline your application before it expires automatically. You cannot apply to more than one charity at a time, but if you do change your mind while awaiting approval, you can cancel your application.
How to apply:
If you have purchased your Own Entry and would like to fundraise for one of our listed charities, you can log in to your My Details account after you have purchased your entry and click the link to ’tell a charity I have my own entry’. We will then inform your chosen charity and they will be in touch with you directly to discuss fundraising etc.
If you have purchased your Own Entry and would like to fundraise for a charity not listed on this website, you are welcome to do so however you would need to contact the charity directly to discuss fundraising etc.
When the training is getting tough and you’re wondering what you’ve got yourself into, the knowledge that you’re raising money for a cause you really believe in will give you a purpose and keep you on track right up to race day!
