Why run for us?

Every 30 minutes, a child or young person will acquire a brain injury. This could be the result of an accident, illness, stroke, poisoning or fall. The impact of an acquired injury on a child, grandchild or great grandchild can be devastating to the whole family.

Child Brain Injury Trust provides long term emotional and practical support for children who have suffered a brain injury and their families. We are the only charity to look after the needs of the whole family, helping them to come to terms with the lifelong impact of a child’s brain injury.

Our Brain Injury Service is the flagship project which sets the charity apart from any others operating in the field of childhood brain injury. We have regional ABI coordinators in Scotland who work with children and young people aged 0-24 with an acquired brain injury (ABI) and their families to help them readjust from hospital to home and the back into school and the challenges that can follow

The Child Brain Injury Trust is the only charity in Scotland providing support to a child with any type of acquired brain injury and we can only keep doing this thanks to your help. Thank you for considering us.

We are here to support you

Whether you have already registered your own place directly or would like one of our charity places, we offer our runners:
